In love with life and color.

I was born and raised in Oklahoma, riding horses for hours a day and playing outside rooted in me a deep love for animals and nature. I loved to rescue and rehab wild birds, often seeing them on our roofs for months after their release. 

In my later teens I had the pleasure of traveling abroad, living for extended periods overseas. This was a time for self discovery, and seeing just what this girl turning into a woman was going to be capable of.

I moved to Southern California when I was 20 years old to work for a software company and met the love of my life, Jeff. What an amazing man who has been my support for the last 25 years. I followed him into work with the National Park Service where I got to meet and study the animals around me. It is because of his persistence that I was able to go to art school and find my calling.

After a few years of working in advertising as an artist and learning a bevy of computer programs I knew there had to be a way to marry my love of technology with fine art and my journey began. With each new painting I discover more exciting new ways to achieve my vision. Most of my work has hundreds of layers (some up to 700 layers) that are combined in a final print for a depth of texture, color and composition that speaks to the picture that is in my heart.
